The Biosphere Prophecy Conservation Fund

What is it?
The Biosphere Prophecy Conservation Fund has been set up to provide funds for youth driven conservation projects. Projects can include development of education resources (videos, printed material and blogs etc to tell others about an issue), setting up local conservation/welfare events, restoring natural areas (pest control or trees for replanting) and saving vulnerable animals or threatened species within your local areas.
Funding topics
Your project should fall under one of the following topics:
Who can apply?
Anyone, anywhere in the world, up to and including the age of 16 yrs can apply. You should have at least one adult who is able to supervise your project and who gives permission for you to apply for the funding.
When can I apply?
Once funds are available, applications will be accepted all year round. The decision process will be 1 month - 6 weeks depending on the number of applications we are processing at any one time. You will be notified of the outcome by email.
How much money can I apply for?
Once funds are available, you will be able to apply for costs of up to NZ$1,000.
What do I need to include in my application?
Please email us an A4 word document with the following information clearly outlined:
Once I have completed my project, what do I need to do?
You will be required to send us a report about how your project went. This will include photos, your outcomes, how the funds were spent and where to from here (we will send you a form to complete to help you with this).
Where does the money in the Biosphere Prophecy Conservation Fund come from?
Between $1.50 and $5 from every sale of the Biosphere Prophecy series (e-book and softback versions) will go into the Conservation Fund.

- Combat climate change
- Overpopulation

- Your name, age, address, email and phone number
- The name and contact details of your adult supervisor/s
- Your funding topic (see above)
- Organisation if relevant (eg Scouts NZ)
- How many people are involved in running your project
- Who or what will benefit from the project
- Project Description - this will include:
- The title of your project
- A short description of the project including your aim/s
- Background of the issue you are trying to solve
- Method - how you are going to achieve your aims
- Timeframes - when you wish to start the project and when you are aiming to complete it
- Amount of money you are applying for
