Book Reviews
Tamsin Orr Walker’s new book, The Biosphere Prophecy, is a great novel for teenagers, her target audience. What surprised me, though, was the writing style. Tamsin uses an omniscient point of view and nimbly glides between the minds of three teenage protagonists. If Isabel Allende is the main proponent of ‘magical realism’, then Tamsin Orr Walker takes it to a higher level. I was grabbed by multiple plot lines that took me to places I would normally never go. What I most admire about her novel is how her three teenage protagonists unite and create a sort of sci-fi bonding which results in something that is at once spiritual, essential, and optimistic. I suspect that once the teenagers have finished with The Biosphere Prophecy, their parents will want to read it too.

"A gripping tale that transports the reader into a magical world, The Doomsday Scenario skilfully blends childlike fantasy with real-life issues of paramount importance relating to the future of life on our planet. Whilst aimed at teenagers, this first book in The Biosphere Prophecy trilogy is also a great read for adults, and I can't wait for book two to roll off the press." Ian Moore
